1. Core adaptability of 16-count cotton-acrylic thread for water-soluble embroidery
The core of water-soluble embroidery is to fix the embroidery thread with water-soluble lining fabric (or yarn), and after embroidery, the lining fabric is removed by dissolving in water to form a three-dimensional hollow effect. The 16-count cotton-acrylic thread can adapt to this process due to the following characteristics:
1.1 Adaptability of count and strength
The 16-count is a medium count, with uniform thread thickness and stable tension. Its breaking resistance is much higher than that of fine count yarn (such as 40-count), resulting in a low breakage rate during the needle piercing process of high-speed embroidery machines, which is suitable for large-scale industrial production. At the same time, the patterns embroidered with medium-thickness threads have a strong three-dimensional sense, which is fuller than fine count yarns and more delicate than coarse count yarns (such as 8-count), and is suitable for various water-soluble embroidery products such as clothing and home textiles.

1.2 Water-soluble process resistance
The cotton fibers in the cotton-acrylic blended thread are resistant to water immersion and weak alkali, and the acrylic fibers are acid and alkali resistant and insoluble in water. During the entire process of "soaking - rinsing - drying" of water-soluble embroidery, the thread will not deform, fade or dissolve, and the stability of the finished product is far better than that of pure wool thread and other materials that are easy to shrink.
1.3 Balance between cost and performance
Compared with pure combed cotton water-soluble embroidery thread, the raw material cost of 16-count cotton-acrylic thread is reduced by 20%-30%; compared with pure acrylic thread, it has better skin-friendliness, and the finished product has no stuffy feeling, so it can be used for close-fitting clothing (such as shirt collars, underwear lace).

Embroidery machine parameters: Adjust the machine speed to 600-800 stitches/minute, set the stitch distance to 2.5-3mm; select No. 11-12 embroidery needles to match the thickness of 16-count thread, reducing thread wear caused by excessively large needle holes.

1. Embroider with medium-thick water-soluble lining fabric
: Match with 25-35g/㎡ water-soluble non-woven fabric, which can support three-dimensional embroidery patterns, avoid thread collapse during embroidery, and is not suitable for fine lace embroidery with ultra-thin衬布. Soak in room temperature clear water for 10-15 minutes (do not use high-temperature water to prevent slight shrinkage of acrylic).
2. Gently rinse the remaininglining fabric , avoid rubbing to cause deformation of the embroidery thread.
3. Dry at low temperature (temperature ≤60℃), natural drying is better to ensure that the lining fabric is completely dissolved, while maintaining the bulkiness and color fastness of the embroidery thread.
4. Dyeing the thread first and then embroidering: Cotton and acrylic can be dyed with reactive dyes and cationic dyes respectively, which is suitable for scenarios with two-color embroidery patterns and high color fastness requirements, and not suitable for the process of dyeing after embroidery (easy to cause pattern deformation).
